The Maggie Switch Convertible Bag
The Maggie Switch is a full sewing pattern and video tutorial.
It is a bag that can convert into 5 different ways of wearing it! Using the cleverly designed magnets you can switch up the handles on the move.
Note: If you don't have a rivet press to use the capped riveted magnets, you can also sew down the handles with the included instructions on how to do this!
You can wear this bag:
- As a backpack.
- A tote bag with short handles.
- A tote bag with longer handles front to back on the bag.
- A tote bag with one handle side to side on the bag.
- A cross body bag (with a longer strap).
There are also lots of pockets and features to this bag too! On the outside there is a front slip pocket and two side bottle pockets. On the back there is a trolley sleeve and a zipper pocket. There are also of course the strap connectors for the unique handle system too.
Inside you can find a device sleeve, another zipper pocket, glasses pocket and pen slots pocket. You can certainly stayed organised with this bag!
This is a confident beginner bag. It's not a fast sew but it's also not tricky and lots of people have said that it's a lot easier than it looks. It's all straight lines other than the curved top flap. You will learn new techniques if you are more of a beginner bag makers; including adding a top zipper closure to the bag and the strap connectors are a different technique from other patterns too.
The bag measures as follows: W: 26.5cm x H: 38cm x D: 10cm (W: 10 1/2" x H: 15" x D: 4")
