YOU WILL NEED:
- 3/4 m. (29 1/2”) Main/Outer Fabric (used as the bottom of the bag)
- 3/4 m. (29 1/2”) Lining Fabric (I recommend Waterproof Canvas)
- 1/4 m. (9 3/4”) x 1 m. wide (39 1/2”) Clear Vinyl (used for the middle of the bag)
- 27cm (10 5/8”) no.3 or no.5 Zipper (or zipper tape and pull)
- 160cm (63”) x 3cm (1 1/4”) Webbing for handles (could also be a different width) – note: you may want to have longer or shorter handles
- 102cm (40 1/4”) x 2cm (3/4”) bias binding for the top edge – or use some of the faux leather/fabric
used for the bottom of the bag as I have done in these instructions cut to 2cm (3/4”) wide
- 130cm (51 1/4”) of 2cm (3/4”) bias binding for the inside seams
There are no curves so you don’t need to cut this on the bias.
Optional:
- 3/4 m. (29 1/2”) Non-Woven Interfacing (only needed if not using Waterproof canvas for the lining)
- 3/4 m. (29 1/2”) Woven Interfacing (only needed if not using Faux leather for the bottom of the bag)
- 1/2 m. (19 3/4”) Fusible Foam or Fleece (only needed if not using Faux leather for bottom of the bag)
- 16mm (1/16”) Magnetic Clasp
- Small pieces of Decovil Light
- Duct Tape
- 2 x 8x8mm (1/16“) Rivets (for the top of the pockets)
Along with usual sewing tools, you will also benefit from having:
Double sided quilting tape, pinking shears, clips, walking foot and Microtex needle (I used an 80 size).
FINISHED SIZE:
W: 48cm x H: 37cm x D: 21cm
or W: 19“ x H: 14 1/2“ x D: 8 1/4”
