The Shark Backpack is a fun shark shaped backpack with fun features. It’s an upgrade from the free Shark Pencil Case tutorial and templates with gusseted sides and pockets for organisation on the move.
This bag features 2 zipper pockets (one on the inside and one on the outside, a slip pocket inside and pen slots. It has a fully lined construction and a special technique for the straps that you will want to use on lots of projects!

YOU WILL NEED:
1/2m. (19 3/4”) Outer Fabric.
1/2m. (19 3/4“) Lining Fabric.
1/4m. (9 7/8”) Fusible Fleece or Fusible Foam.
30cm (11 13/16”) size 5 Zipper (for mouth).
13cm (5 1/8“) size 3 or size 5 (for inside pocket).
21cm (8 1/4“) size 5 Zipper (for outer pocket).
180cm (71”) of 2.5cm (1”) webbing.
2 x 2.5cm (1”) Rucksack Buckles.
Optional:
2 x Buttons, snaps, or toy eyes (I used 1cm, 3/8”).
6 x 8mm (5/16”) Rivets to attach the straps.
Small scraps of Decovil Light.
Along with usual sewing tools, you will also benefit from having:
Double sided quilting tape, pinking shears, clips, walking foot, zipper foot, and a Microtex needle (I
used a 80 size).
