Features

This is a very basic lined, boxy pouch and perfect for beginners or a quick win. During the video tutorials we go over interfacing and stabilisers and why we use them and all the different steps needed to create this simple but fun bag. We also go over one technique for creating boxed corners - created during construction rather than cut at the start.

Lined rather than bound, this bag is a cute every day make that is great for gifting or craft fairs too.

You Will Need

Fabric:

  • Outer (Main) Fabric: 1 fat quarter (must be nondirectional!)
  • Lining Fabric: 1 fat quarter

  • Fusible Fleece (or Foam): W: 32cm x H: 36cm (W: 12 5/8” x H: 14 3/16”)

A pattern and a sewing community!

I participated in an online sew along for 7t7’s Boxy Pouch. Emma provided exceptional instruction, engaged a community of sewers at all skill levels, and encouraged us to continue sewing/crafting whatever brought us joy. After the sew along, I purchased the pattern and found it to be well-written with an accompanying video. The pattern/video combination is very much appreciated! As well as her selection of patterns, Emma’s social media sites and online Studio Club further support sewers who want to ask questions of Emma or the community, share their projects, and recommend shops for materials and supplies. Thank you!

Boxy Pouch

I enjoyed watching the videos, and the pouch was fairly easy to make up, will be making a few more towards Christmas. Starting now as l always leave it until the last minute and end up doing nothing😂
